Product design and innovation
At the back-end, our designers and institutional partners work in tandem to innovate, improve and diversify UPAYA’s range of products, keeping with the ever-changing trends of the fashion industry.
Marketing, branding and sales
By building an online presence and through our offline partnerships, we endeavour to reduce middlemen, bring efficiencies to the supply chain, increase traction on sales and build a customer base, thereby delivering higher and sustained returns for our women artisans.
Ethics and sustainability
We follow strict environmental norms to minimise wastage at every stage of the production process, from sourcing the raw material, to manufacturing the end product.
Impact in numbers
Hundreds of women across our project areas have started identifying with UPAYa™ as a lucrative employment opportunity. Every purchase empowers them to overcome socio-economic barriers and live safer healthier lives. At present, over 200 women artisans are earning a sustainable livelihood through UPAYa. Our goal is to reach 5,000 women over the next five years.
